  The platform owns the canonical product taxonomy. You attach a listing to a normalized ProductModel instead of maintaining your own SKU schema. One listing surfaces to every buyer searching that product.

• Inbound RFQs, not cold leads

  Buyers submit structured quote requests for specific models you stock. We fan out the RFQ to every approved vendor that matches — you compete on price, lead time, and warranty, not on who answered the phone first.

• Classification that actually means something

  Your profile shows whether you are ISO-certified, an OEM-authorized depot, a field service provider, or a distributor — and which specializations you cover (Repairs, Rentals, PM, Parts, Training, Installation). Buyers filter on these.

• Multiple listing types per product

  Sell, repair, rent, or do preventive maintenance on the same canonical model — each listing type is separate, with its own pricing mode (fixed or RFQ), condition, and availability.

• Own your customer relationship

  When a buyer accepts your quote, fulfillment and payment go directly between you and them — we do not insert into your sales cycle or hold your AR hostage.

Vendor FAQ

Who is eligible to list?

Independent service organizations (ISOs), OEMs, OEM-authorized depots, field-service providers, and distributors with the registrations and licenses required for the equipment they handle. Each vendor is manually reviewed before approval.

How long does approval take?

Review happens as quickly as we can — typically within a few business days, faster during launch when volume is low. We may ask for additional documentation (registration, insurance, references) before approving. We may decline applications that do not fit the marketplace focus.

Can I list equipment for repair or rental, not just sale?

Yes. Listing types include Purchase, Repair, Preventive Maintenance, Rent, Service, and Trade-In. Each is attached to the canonical product so buyers find them when searching that model.

What if a model I want to list is not in the catalog?

Submit it for review. We add the canonical ProductModel record once approved. After that, any vendor (not just you) can list it — we deliberately do not let vendors own taxonomy, so the catalog stays consistent across the whole marketplace.

Do I have to offer fixed pricing?

No. Each listing picks a pricing mode: Fixed (a published price) or RequestQuote (buyer sends an RFQ). Mixing the two is common — fixed price for the stocked items, RFQ for custom rebuilds.

What happens when a buyer accepts a quote?

You and the buyer get notifications with the acceptance terms. Fulfillment, payment, shipping, warranty, and returns go through your normal flow — EzMedSource is not the merchant of record. Keep the buyer updated through whichever channel you normally use for orders.

How do buyers find me?

Your vendor profile page is SEO-indexed. You also appear on every product detail page where you have an active listing, in the comparison grid, and on your classification + specialization filters. Organic ranking is never for sale.

Can I upload my existing catalog instead of building listings by hand?

For MVP, listings are created through the vendor dashboard. Bulk import (CSV / API) is on the post-MVP roadmap; tell us if you want to be first in line.
