The GE Datex-Ohmeda Aestiva MRI is an anesthesia machine designed for use in MRI-compatible environments. It delivers anesthetic gases and oxygen to the patient breathing circuit using analog flow control. The machine supports multiple ventilation modes including pressure-controlled ventilation (PCV), volume-controlled ventilation (VCV), spontaneous breathing, synchronized intermittent mandatory ventilation (SIMV), pressure support ventilation (PSV), and combined SIMV with pressure support (SIMV/PS). Gas delivery is regulated through traditional vaporization.
