The GE Carestation 620 is a modular anesthesia workstation designed for operating rooms and procedural suites. It delivers fresh gas, ventilation, and patient monitoring through a single integrated platform. The system accepts up to two Selectatec-compatible vaporizers on an interlock-controlled manifold, routes gas through a compact low-compliance breathing circuit with quick-disconnect absorber, and displays real-time vital signs and waveforms on a 15-inch full-color touchscreen. Ventilation modes include volume-controlled (VCV), pressure-controlled (PCV), synchronized intermittent mandatory ventilation (SIMV in VC or PC), pressure-support ventilation (PSV-Pro), manual, and spontaneous breathing. Fresh gas flow is adjustable from 0.2 to 15 L/min; tidal volume range is 20 to 1500 mL. The workstation records 14 days of trend data and connects to hospital EMR systems via HL7. An internal battery provides up to 90 minutes of backup power for ventilation and monitoring in the event of mains failure.
