GE Ohmeda Avance Carestation

The GE Ohmeda Avance Carestation is a modular anesthesia delivery and patient monitoring workstation designed for the operating room. It integrates a ventilator, vaporizer interface, breathing circuit, and touchscreen monitor into a single operating-theater footprint. The ventilator supports volume-controlled, pressure-controlled, and spontaneous ventilation modes across adult and neonatal patients. Fresh gas flow ranges from 0.2 to 15 L/min, with tidal volumes from 5 mL (neonatal) to 1500 mL. The system accepts up to two Selectatec-compatible vaporizer units (TEC series) with automatic exclusion logic. A 15-inch color touchscreen with customizable layouts serves as the primary display; controls are touch-based. The GE Advanced Breathing System uses single-use or reusable circuits with tool-free removal and autoclave compatibility. Trend data is retained for 48 hours at 5-minute intervals or up to 14 days at 30-minute intervals. Network connectivity includes HL7, USB, CareScape integration, and optional VGA and nurse-call interfaces. An internal battery supports uninterrupted operation during power loss, with an 8-second delay to prevent accidental shutdown.
