The Smiths Medical Graseby 3400 is a syringe infusion pump designed for controlled medication delivery in ICU, anesthesia, oncology, neonatal, and home-care settings. It accepts syringes ranging from 2 mL to 60 mL and delivers medications at rates between 0.1 and 200 mL/hr, selectable via rate mode (mL/hr) or time mode (total volume over elapsed time). The pump features built-in occlusion detection, audible and visual alarms for completion and error states, and a rechargeable battery supporting up to 6 hours of operation during power loss. An LED display shows flow rate, infusion status, and alarm conditions; navigation is via a numeric keypad. The pump mounts to IV poles, carts, or patient beds.
