The Laerdal Stifneck Select is a cervical spine immobilization collar that combines four size variants in a single design. It is used in prehospital and trauma settings to stabilize the cervical spine in conscious patients prior to transport or advanced airway management. The collar features quick-lock mechanisms that secure the selected size in place and adjustment tracks that maintain symmetrical alignment. It is radiolucent and compatible with MRI and CT imaging, allowing diagnostic imaging without removal. The oversized tracheal opening and rear panel opening permit access for pulse checks, advanced airway procedures, visualization, and cervical palpation with large-gloved fingers. Application and sizing follow the same method as the original Stifneck line.
