The Hitachi HV-D27 is a 3CCD color camera with a 1/2-inch sensor designed for medical imaging and surgical documentation. The three-chip architecture separates red, green, and blue channels across 410,000 pixels each, producing 768 × 494 effective resolution (NTSC) with greater than 750 TV lines horizontal resolution. The camera outputs video via S-Video (Y/C), composite, or RGB (component) connectors, making it compatible with legacy medical monitors and recording systems. A 14-bit digital signal processor handles color processing. Control options include auto or manual gain, auto or manual white balance, and selectable gamma correction, with shutter speeds adjustable from 1/60 to 1/10,000 second. The camera head weighs approximately 1.2 lbs and draws power from a DC 12V supply.
