KORU FreedomEdge®

The KORU FreedomEdge® is a portable, non-electric syringe infusion pump designed for subcutaneous and intravenous administration. It operates without batteries, electricity, or electronic controls, relying instead on mechanical pressure regulation to deliver a constant flow rate from 20 mL or 30 mL syringes. The pump uses a three-step workflow: load the syringe, close the mechanism, and infusion begins. Flow rate is controlled by the choice of tubing set. The device incorporates DynEQ (Dynamic Equilibrium) technology, which automatically reduces flow rate in response to increasing back-pressure (such as from tissue saturation or venous resistance), preventing bolus delivery and over-infusion. After infusion is complete, the pump maintains full pressure to prevent blood return or drug backflow into the syringe.
