Overview
The Smiths Medfusion 3500 is a syringe infusion pump designed for continuous and intermittent medication delivery. It accepts syringes ranging from 1 mL to 60 mL and delivers medication at flow rates from 0.01 mL/hr to 1130 mL/hr with +/- 2% accuracy. The pump supports continuous infusion, volume/time, mass-based, weight-based, intermittent, and bolus delivery modes. It is powered by an internal battery rated for 10 hours at 25°C when infusing at 5.0 mL/hr with a 60 mL syringe. The pump includes audio and visual alarms for occlusion, near-empty, and system faults. It mounts to an I.V. pole, infant isolette, or radiant warmer with rotation adjustment.
