Smiths Medical CADD Legacy One 6400

The Smiths Medical CADD Legacy One 6400 is an infusion pump designed for patient-controlled and clinician-administered analgesic delivery in post-operative, oncology, and chronic pain settings. It accepts Smiths Medical cassette reservoirs (50–250 mL) with integrated drug-delivery cartridges, and displays infusion parameters on a monochrome screen navigated by arrow keys. The pump operates in three modes: patient-controlled analgesia (PCA), continuous infusion, and clinician bolus. It includes upstream and downstream occlusion sensors to detect delivery-line blockages, an air-in-line detector with adjustable sensitivity, and programmable lockout intervals to limit patient bolus frequency. Infusion rates range from 1 to 3,000 mL/day. An ON/OFF key places the pump in low-power mode to conserve battery charge. The pump stores up to 1,000 event records, retrievable via the CADD-DIPLOMAT PC Communications System.
