The Zeiss OPMI Vario 700 is a motorized surgical microscope with a 1:6 zoom ratio, apochromatic optics, and a tiltable or foldable tube. It receives illumination from a Superlux Xenon source (180W or 300W) with automatic lamp exchange, and displays the surgical field through 10x or 12.5x widefield eyepieces. Working distance ranges from 200–500 mm. Navigation is controlled via a wireless waterproof foot switch, central touchscreen interface, and overhead display. Magnetic clutches lock all axes; an optional XY drive enables motorized stage movement.
